0.6% acetic-acid reconstitution diluent
Overview
0.6% Acetic Acid in Water is a sterile acidic-pH reconstitution diluent specifically prepared for peptides that require acidic conditions for solubilization and stability. The 0.6% acetic acid concentration produces a solution at approximately pH 3.0-3.5, which is the operational range for many peptides that aggregate or precipitate at neutral pH. The most common application is reconstitution of recombinant growth factors like IGF-1 LR3 (which requires acidic-pH solubilization to maintain monomer form and prevent aggregation) and other cationic-or-amphipathic peptides where neutral-pH water produces precipitation or aggregate formation. PeptideXpo supplies 0.6% Acetic Acid Water in sterile 3 ml ampoules, prepared from pharmaceutical-grade acetic acid and Water for Injection. Buyers should verify the sterility, bacterial endotoxin (LAL), and injectable-grade packaging requirements of the target destination market, different jurisdictions have somewhat different specifications for injectable-grade diluents, and the same product may be appropriate for some markets and not others depending on local pharmacopeia requirements.
Who buys this, and why
Custom-blend buyers are almost always OEM clients building a branded product around a specific ratio of two or more peptides. The development workflow is collaborative: ratio target, analytical method to verify it, stability protocol in the chosen carrier, and packaging selection are all defined in the OEM brief before the first commercial run. Sample-stage volumes are usually 5-10 g of finished blend; commercial MOQ depends on the components.
Primary buyer fit: 503A / 503B compounding pharmacies, academic and contract research laboratories, and regional distributors and re-sellers.

Reconstitution diluent for acidic-pH-requiring peptides. Verify sterility, endotoxin (LAL), and injectable-grade packaging compliance with target market regulations.
Frequently asked questions
Acidic-pH reconstitution diluent is required for peptides that aggregate, precipitate, or denature at neutral pH. The most common examples in our catalog are IGF-1 LR3 and unmodified MGF (both proteins that aggregate at neutral pH and need acidic conditions for monomer solubilization), and certain cationic / amphipathic short peptides that show better solubility at low pH. Most synthetic peptides (Tirzepatide, Semaglutide, BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, and the cosmetic-peptide family) reconstitute cleanly in standard saline or bacteriostatic water, the acidic-pH diluent is the exception rather than the rule. Buyers should check the specific peptide's recommended diluent on the COA or the product page before defaulting to 0.6% Acetic Acid Water.
The 0.6% concentration produces a final pH around 3.0-3.5 in the reconstituted solution, which is the operational range for solubilizing IGF-1 LR3 and similar proteins that aggregate at neutral pH but denature at strongly acidic pH (below 2.5). Stronger acidic conditions (1% or higher acetic acid, pH below 2.5) can disrupt the protein's tertiary structure and produce biologically inactive material. Weaker acidic conditions (0.1% acetic acid, pH 4-5) don't provide enough protonation of the protein's residues to keep it in monomer form. The 0.6% concentration is the well-established compromise, strong enough to maintain monomer solubility, gentle enough to preserve native structure for the protein's intended biological activity once diluted into physiological conditions.
